Sheila Christensen 1957-2019

Sheila died at the Kirkland Safe Parking Site (at Lake Washington UMC) in December 2019. Women in Black stood vigil for her on Christmas Day that year. Her Leaf was requested to be sited in Ballard by consensus of the women of the Safe Parking Site.

Sheila was a huge reader, and was beloved.

These Leaves of Remembrance bear witness: The sorrows and struggles of people living without a home are not nothing. There is courage here, and community, and hope.
