Help Find a Public Art/Memorial Team Leader!

  • Volunteers in search of a Public Art/Memorial Team Leader!

The Homeless Remembrance Project is a unique public memorial to people who’ve experienced homelessness and died in Seattle. It has two parts: A “Tree of Life” sculpture and gathering place in Victor Steinbrueck Park, and bronze “Leaves of Remembrance” in the right of way all over Seattle.

We’re looking for a Team Leader to facilitate the scope of our Leaf-Laying work, which is primarily done in the warm-weather months.

Tasks include:

  • Assuring we have sheets of bronze to do this work
  • Arranging for Leaf templates to be cut from this bronze
  • Arranging for engraving the approved Leaves (with name & DOB/DOD)
  • Doing finishwork on the Leaves (sanding edges, applying coating)
  • Attending Leaves Dedications and overseeing the epoxy work of Leaf Installation volunteers, and assuring we have enough Leaf Installation volunteers.

If interested, please reach out to wheelorg@yahoo.com

Much more information’s available at www.fallenleaves.org, www.homelessremembrance.org, or Homeless Remembrance Project on Facebook

Thanks!
