Kevin Rogers 1979–2018

Kevin died on April 18, 2018 under the overpass at 6th and Columbia, very close to City Hall, of what was listed as “natural causes.” WHEEL member Anitra Freeman commented on this term in City Council testimony the next week: “Is this the city we want? Where the death of a 39-year-old on the street is considered ‘natural’?” His death was also referenced by City Councilmembers during the deliberations on the first Employee Hours Tax.
