Frederick “Teddy” Locke, 1946—2011
From a friend: “He was an excellent guitar player and studio musician. He was very good looking, 6’4”, charming, witty and clever. He looked like George Harrison of the Beatles. The most appropriate eulogy for Teddy would be to play the Beatles Yesterday.”
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they’re here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday
Suddenly, I’m not half the man I used to be
There’s a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, yesterday came suddenly
Why she had to go I don’t know she wouldn’t say
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday
Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday
Why she had to go I don’t know she wouldn’t say
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday
Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday
Mm mm mm mm mm mm mmmm
