Carlos Alberto Vargas 1962 – 2024

Carlos was born in 1962 and died in 2024.

Carlos’s Leaf is at the Lake City Mini Park.

Carlos was a high school soccer star in San Francisco, but was born in Costa Rica.  He struggled with addiction to alcohol and drugs since his early 20s and had been living on the streets of Seattle since 2010.  He was an effective and beloved leader at SHARE/WHEEL’s Tent City4 (at Seattle Mennonite Church) and Maple Leaf Shelter.

Carlos refused to give up on himself and always dreamed of turning things around and living his best life.  His loved ones miss him and his charm, and grieve for the life he wanted for himself.
