John Freilot 1956–2025

John was born in 1956 and died in 2025.  His Leaf will be placed at Ballard Library on September 13, 2026.

Below is a reflection of John shared by a Ballard Librarian:

“John Freilot was a daily reader at Ballard Library. He participated in Coffee & Conversations and our weekly movie programs. We all had daily conversations with him. Everyone who knew him felt he bolstered them with supportive, humorous comments and stories. He was woven into the day-to-day life of Ballard Library.  Staff members and friends of John raised money for his cremation through GoFundMe. We dedicated Coffee & Conversations to him on Oct. 16, 2025 and had a standing room only crowd. People all over Ballard knew him and miss him.”
