James “Jimmy” Morgan 1967—2021
From requester Kathryn Whitehill: James, known to friends in Lake City as Jimmy or Boston Jimmy, was a beloved member of our community. He was a veteran. He always brought a joyful, upbeat presence to our program, and always greeted staff by name. He looked after his friends and fellow neighbors experiencing homelessness. He will be missed. Becky was born June 26, 1964. She received services in Lake City for several years and is remembered in the homeless community there. She died in August 2021, in a popup camp in Woodland Park. Elliott Donnell Yearby Jr 4/24/1990-12/16/2019 From Pastor Jonathan of Seattle Mennonite Church: Debra Summers, deceased, raised Elliott with his uncle, Jay Steward, and his cousins Sean Summers and Jamie Mahn. He was her life and she was his life. The four children were inseparable.

James “Frenchy” French 1964–2021
From his friend Stephanie Hessen: James was kind, funny, hardworking, intelligent, creative and the sweetest soul I’ve met. Honest to a fault and would give you anything. He loved music. He could sing CCR like no other. He drew and learned he could paint. Loved Seahawks, T-bones and wine.

From the Requester, Michelle Jones (MID Outreach Worker): “Mr. Jarboe was SUCH a sweet man and a lively character who always had a kind word and a smile. I would stop to visit with him on Blanchard between 3rd and 4th where he would sit – across the street from the Cornelius apartments – against the wall in the long rays of the day’s last light – the red brick reflected onto his face, making his cheeks even redder. Since 2003, The Homeless Remembrance Project (organized by WHEEL) has created places of hope, healing, & beauty to honor/remember homeless people who’ve died in King County.
